2-11 Alarm @ 3234 N Central Ave

1-13-16: Companies were sent on a still in the 3200 block of N Central. Upon arrival, Engine 7 had smoke showing from the second floor of this large lightweight construction 50x125 building. During their primary attack, companies encountered a large volume of fire inside the building. The 8th Battalion requested a Still & Box Alarm shortly thereafter as residents of the building were being rescued via ladders from balconies, and a 2-11 was requested after that. Tower Ladders 23 and 14 as well as Squad 2's Snorkel worked their aerial pipes and multiple handlines were used to bring the fire under control in about 4 hours.
