Still & Box Alarm @ 1522 W Wellington Ave

7/5/15- The 5th Battalion responded to the 1500 block of W Wellington for a report of a fire in the alley. Upon arrival, companies had heavy fire in a 2.5 story frame coach house with exposure to another similar coach house and two alley garages across from the original fire building. Downed power lines in the alley complicated operations. Due to the heavy fire conditions, 90 degree heat, and extensive overhaul operations the 5th requested a Still & Box. All crews were swapped out and rehydrated during rehab prompting 2-2-2 to request an additional engine & truck for manpower.
