2-11 Alarm @ 127 E 47th St
11-17-2015: Engine 45 pulled up at 47th and Indiana with a fire in a 2 story ordinary taxpayer. The building's second floor was boarded up tight and the first companies had trouble accessing the building through the first floor. Fire conditions progressed as companies worked on opening up the building, prompting the 5th Battalion to request a Still & Box Alarm. Once companies opened the building, they encountered heavy fire inside. 2-2-1 arrived on scene and set up Tower Ladders 37 and 39 as a defensive attack was started. Tower 37's rig soon overheated and broke down on the scene so 2-1-29 requested a replacement Tower. Englewood sent TL34. A special request was also made to bring the Reserve Snorkel to the scene. The initial Still came in around 2230 hours and the 2-11 was struck out around 0200 hours.
